The long awaited return of Thoughts From The Bus! (Along with my tales of holiday woe)

So I did actually find a new job, at half of my old pay. Woo fucking hoo. So now I get to worry about being evicted (since all my bills fell way behind while I was out of work for about 2 weeks), along with all the stress of the holiday season. No cash for gifts etc. Good times. There. I got my whining out. On to the Thoughts.

Where is this going: It seems to me that people in the age group just younger than me are even more obsessed with online communication (myspace, IMs, text messaging) than anyone else ever. Does this mean that they are more or less connected to friends, peers etc.? Long answer in that one, I think.
